How to Fix EPG Not Working on IPTV Smarters Pro (2026)

The EPG (Electronic Program Guide) is the TV guide interface that shows you what is currently playing and what's coming up next on your IPTV service. If you open your Live TV category and every channel says "No Information," your EPG has failed to sync.

Manual Force Update (The Quick Fix)

90% of the time, the EPG simply failed to download automatically in the background when you opened the app. To force it to download:

  1. Open IPTV Smarters Pro and go to the Home Screen.
  2. Click the Settings gear icon in the top right corner.
  3. Click EPG Timeline or EPG Settings.
  4. Click Refresh EPG or Update EPG.

You should see a progress bar indicating that it is downloading an XML file. Once it reaches 100%, return to Live TV. Your guide info should now be populated.

Preventative Fix: Auto-Update Settings

To stop this from happening every time you use the app, ensure your auto-download settings are correct.

  1. Go to Settings > General Settings.
  2. Check the box that says Auto-Update EPG.
  3. Click Save. Now, the app will update the guide file silently in the background every time you boot it up.

When Your Provider is at Fault

If you force update the EPG and the progress bar gets stuck, or if it says "Download Failed," the error lies entirely with your IPTV provider. EPG data is massive—it is a text file containing the schedules of 25,000+ channels for 7 days. Cheap, budget IPTV resellers often do not pay for reliable EPG server hosting, causing their EPG servers to crash constantly under heavy load.

If your EPG is chronically missing data for UK channels like Sky Sports or BBC, we recommend switching to a premium provider like IPTV UK, where our EPG data is hosted on separate, dedicated VIP servers guaranteeing 99.9% uptime.
